Tholen - The sleepy town

Tholen is the place where I stayed in the Netherlands. It's a small sleepy town. Dutch people are very fond of their bicycles and you can see cycle tracks everywhere. It was an amazing experience riding bicycle alongside the canals. The town itself looked like a film studio set with every thing neat and organized.

Even in the remote country side you could find the best infrastructure and services. This was in stark contrast to India where as you go away from big cities the quality of infrastructure and basic amenities went down drastically.

I loved the way Dutch people greeted everyone they came across. In the beginning it was awkward to return the greetings from a stranger but slowly I got used to it and started to enjoy it. I tried to keep this habit after my return to India but a few cold / confused stares were enough for me to think better of it.
