Nisargadhama is nearby Kushalnagar, a small island formed by the river Cauvery. It is considered to be a perfect place for picnic.

I do not know if it was due to the season or lack of maintenance, but the whole area looked very disappointing. There was no greenery and dust was everywhere. The boat rides were not operating. There was a small fenced area where rabbits were kept. Many of them were in a very unhealthy state.

There were a few things that saved the experience..There was a hanging bridge that we crossed to enter the island, a deer park (although inside the fenced area, there was not a single plant), and an elephant ride. The queue to the elephant ride was again very long so we dropped the idea.

Shubhang enjoyed feeding cabbage to the deer. He fed them two trays and was insisting on feeding them more. We had to literally drag him away. While coming back, we saw monkeys on the bridge. Shubhang ran to them yelling "come monkey, come" but for some reason they turned down his invitation and ran away.
