Bhagamandala

Bhagamandala is just few kilometers before Talacauvery. It is the confluence of three rivers: Cauvery, Kanika and Sujyothi. This confluence is considered to be scared and is a pilgrimage site. Also at this location is Bhagandeshwara temple with Subramanya, Mahavishnu and Ganapati idols.

When we arrived, Shubhang was asleep and no one dared to wake him up. It was decided that we would go to the temple in pairs, first my mother-in-law and father-in-law, and then Joohi and I.

The car was parked near the temple, so we left our shoes in the car. Another reason was that we were reluctant to leave them unattended. Buying shoes is such a tiring experience these days, also we could not expect to get a good replacement here.

Prakash told us that the whole area gets submerged under water in monsoon. God knows if we understood him correctly.

Although photography was not allowed here but the view before me was so enthralling that I could not resist. Later in Mysore, I was scolded by a monument caretaker for my photographic urges.
